The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagun, has denied reports of his resignation, describing them as false and misleading.
In a statement on Saturday, Damagun’s Personal Assistant, Nuru Shehu Jos, emphasized that the PDP’s constitution guarantees the National Chairman a four-year term, and Damagun remains in office.
PDP Denies Arise News Involvement
The party also dismissed claims that Arise News reported the alleged resignation, urging the public to disregard the misinformation.
Warning Against False Reports
The PDP warned those spreading false rumors to desist or face legal action. It also called on party members and stakeholders to remain united as the PDP prepares for the 2027 elections.
