Popular Yoruba actor, Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has admitted to being involved in a brief sexual encounter with comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, also known as Dara, the wife of fellow entertainer, Ijoba Lande.
Baba Tee made the revelation during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok personalities on Sunday, marking a significant shift from his earlier denial of any involvement with Dara.
U-Turn on Earlier Denial
The controversy began after Ijoba Lande accused his wife of infidelity, alleging that at least 21 men in the entertainment industry had been involved with her. Among those he named was Baba Tee, who initially dismissed the allegations and challenged Lande to provide evidence.
However, in a new twist, Baba Tee has now confessed to having a “short sexual intercourse” with Dara, explaining that it occurred during a “Truth or Dare” game that involved both Dara and actress Marygold.
“So immediately we began the game, Marygold went completely naked and was daring me consistently to Dara while she kept taking alcohol as a choice of not wanting to do the tasks that I demanded from her,” Baba Tee stated during the interview.
“Marygold then dared Dara to let me have a ‘quick’ sexual encounter with her, and she obliged. I will not deny that I had a brief moment with her. It is the first time I am saying this, and I now realize it was a set-up by both of them to malign my personality.”
Public Apology to Ijoba Lande
Following his admission, Esabod advised Baba Tee to publicly apologize to Ijoba Lande. Shortly after, the actor took to his official Facebook page to express remorse.
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande,” he wrote.
He also suggested that he was unaware Dara was Lande’s wife at the time, adding, “Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
Allegations of a Recorded Encounter
Reports suggest that Marygold, who previously managed Ijoba Lande, allegedly recorded the intimate moment between Baba Tee and Dara, further fueling the controversy.
As reactions continue to trail the scandal, it remains uncertain how the revelations will impact Baba Tee’s career and public image.
