Lagos, June 6, 2024 — In a significant step towards providing decent accommodation for suburban dwellers, 270 units of two-bedroom flats were inaugurated today at the Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Estate in the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State.
This project forms part of Cluster One of a larger plan, which encompasses 101 blocks with a total of 846 home units, including one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, spread over 17.358 hectares in the Ikeja Division.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Governor pledged to complete the remaining home units in Clusters Two and Three of the Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Estate, ensuring that more residents, regardless of their background, will benefit from this initiative.
The Governor stressed the importance of residents taking ownership of the project and protecting it from vandalism. He also highlighted the administration’s commitment to collaborating with the private sector to develop more affordable housing estates across Lagos State.
This project represents a crucial effort in addressing the housing needs of Lagos’s suburban population, providing them with quality living conditions and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
